Update your health and welfare policies.

Depending on your need, you can enroll in coverage, remove your spouse, and/or add your dependents to your JCPenney health and welfare coverage. You have 60 days from the action date specified in your divorce decree to make the change.

Update your beneficiaries.

Review your life insurance, AD&D insurance, and your 401(k) plans to update your beneficiary designations, if needed. Consider seeking legal counsel before designating a minor as a beneficiary due to limitations on payouts of life and AD&D policies to minors.
